Swimsuits in the snow

Keylime Cove. A water park for the masses. This weekend we went on vacation with three other families Josh used to work closely with back during his internship days. We stayed and played at an indoor water park outside Chicago. Nothing better than a little water fun to wear out the seven children we had among us!
Swimsuits in November...as if July is not painful enough! Hudson, like his father, is proud to sport a belly. If you say, "Elvis!" he will push his belly way out in front of him. (About half the time this causes him to fall down on his tush.) It is adorable. (yes, on both of them)
There was a toddler swim area that included three separate pools and three slides (seen here). It was definitely adequate space to play. The large purple slide was big enough for the three of us to go down together. Of course, many teenagers think this little area was a fun place to hang out (and pick their swimsuits out of their butts (also seen here). I found that annoying. Using my best teacher face, I gave them disapproving glares as they splashed my wee sized son.

Finally, and I am sure this is not new technology, but for my country gal self I found it amazing...my favorite part of the Keylime experience was their ingenious spend spend spend technology. We were not given room keys, but rather bracelets which not only opened our room door, but also charged items to our credit card. A tiny flat microchip allowed us to eat in their six restaurants (we did not), shop in their stores (nope), go to their spa (not that either), and play in their arcade (well, yeah, we had to introduce Hudson to the glory of skeeball) all without carrying a wallet.

We will definitely go again in seven to twelve years.

We did something similar in June down in Texas. The place will nickle and dime ya to death! We ordered pizza in instead of eating at their pizza place and ate breakfast at McD's instead of the $30 breakfast buffet.
