Today I can

The only you can count on around here is change. Each day Hudson does or says something new. I had this imaginative idea that I would buy a big block 2010 calendar and fill each date with one new thing that he did or said on that day. Since New Year’s Day I have made a mental list of feats to add: signed “help”, hugged his friend, said “shoot”. I just have that kind of time…

Then Sunday came.

Helping us act as greeters at Sunday’s first service, he shook hands with multiple members of our congregation without being prompted. Hudson said, “church,” “blocks,” and “house”. He figured out how to turn off and on Josh’s headlight. And I decided that I could not keep up.

These are extraordinary days filled with amazement, parroting, and education; too much to watch and appreciate to waste time keeping up with extraneous paperwork.

Yeah, I had that 'mental list' of firsts for awhile....it is amazing to see the changes, but you are right, that's a lot of paperwork ;)
