Hudson needs a home

Within two days we have found out that Hudson has no place to go come August when I return to teaching. Both our Plan A and Plan B have fallen through, and I am a little unnerved. Okay, so that is not true. I am Heather, and so I am manic. After all, it is July 1st. The reality of having to go back to work overwhelmed me when I thought I knew where little man would be, but now, here we are at square one. So, I could talk on and on about what we could do, should do, want to do, but rather I will just leave this out there:

There are five weeks and five days until school starts and currently we have no plan.

On to happier news: we spent an extended weekend in lovely Hudson, Iowa. Our dear friends John and Sunni moved west last fall and they were drawn to the town of Hudson (pop. 2088) which is nestled smack dab in the middle of corn country (and not much else). Hudson might not have a home for the fall, but he definitely has a town in the middle of Iowa he can call home. Personally, I think he should be mayor by default.

Or he could be principal!

You will be in my thoughts and prayers. God will help you make the decision that is right for you and your family.
