It's MAY!!! Bring on the checkered flag

We have already been to the track once this May and it is not even Pole Day yet! To honor the Centennial Era of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, they have reinstated the balloon race which used to also be a part of the festivities. On a recent Saturday night they hosted a free balloon glow event where there were supposed to be 33 balloons all lit up (plus concert, fireworks, free wine tasting, etc.).  Due to high winds, most balloons did not participate, but you could just tell what a fabulous evening this would have been if the weather would have been more cooperative. We will definitely attend next year!

Of course, we will be at Pole Day this Saturday. Hudson has already been to the track half as many times as I have.He will be quite the track expert by the time he goes to his first race, I assume! We are going to go to the race this year, but he will not. Hopefully a picture of Hudson & Helio uploaded Saturday!!!
