Mothers are notorious for thinking of everyone, but themselves. A whole wealth of books have been written about how mothers need to focus on their own needs once in awhile. Add fathers to the mix as well. Parents take care of their kids at their own expense.
Yesterday we spent the day at the track for Pole Day; weather conditions were gorgeous and hot. Hence, Josh and I are French fried potatoes. While we slathered Hudson with sunscreen before we even left the house--and multiple times at the track, and yet we never seemed to apply sunscreen to ourselves--or once we did, it was too late. Why didn't we think of ourselves? We had the sunscreen in our hands! You could fry and egg the back of my neck.
Little man loved the cars. Loved the airplanes. Loved the humvees and helicopters there for Armed Forces Day. He would pump his fists when the crowds would cheer. He drank his milk near the yard of bricks just like Indy 500 racing champions do. He was too excited to nap, but fell asleep within 5 minutes of getting into the car.
Parents thinking of their kids first and little boys loving all thing moving. Pretty standard, really.
